Bonnie Silva

Bonnie Silva is a published author of articles, and a two-time CINE Golden Eagle and CINDY Gold award winner. She won a National Education Association Award for the Advancement of Learning through Broadcasting, and served as creator, writer and producer on an Emmy award winning public service campaign. She has fulfilled one of her lifelong dreams – to write a script that would air on Discovery’s network, and hopes to write many more. Her work has been inspired by primatologist Jane Goodall and feature film director Carroll Ballard.
Bonnie resides with her sweetheart Russ Barry surrounded by the natural beauty of the Great Marsh on the North Shore of Massachusetts. She cherishes her time spent in the company of animals and for the last four years has been the primary caretaker of a brave laminitis-stricken horse named Rose. Once a regal, loving Pasofino, Rose died unexpectedly in early February of 2007. Bonnie, along with the animals who shared Rose’s barn and pasture, still grieves and struggles with her loss.
